Back in April I started this new blog, determined this time to make sure that I kept up with it, blogged regularly and shared some crochetness through blogland. And what happened? Nothing ... zip ... nada ... nowt. My poor lonely, but full of hope and excitement for new projects, first post sat there on it's own. Neglected.
While it's been sat there, the kooky blanket I mentioned has been on, and off, the drawing board several times. Actually, come to think of it, it's not really even started. But that's not to say I have started anything because I have. Lots. And lots. But not really finished much. No. Not really.
And yarn. I've bought lots of yarn. Pretty yarn. Expensive yarn. Lots of squishyness. And it, too, has sat there, mostly neglected. And I've bought acrylic - tons of soft, bright and cheerful acrylic - and I've used that. I've spent time making grannysquares, drinking tea and planning lots of crochetness. And not got that far ...
And then I found this pattern, the as-we-go-stripey-blanket by Not Your Average Crochet and it's fab. Just enough changes each row to keep you interested but not that taxing that you can't still chill out with it in front of the tv. Here's how far I've got
